"It was in 1970 that revival began to blaze as the oil of the Holy Spirit was poured out in a new way upon Solomon Islanders and their missionaries alike. His was a cleansing fire which burned away impurity and apathy and brought them to their knees in a realisation of the holiness and power of God. Men and women confessed sin, wept at His feet, experienced the joy of forgiveness and new unity; saw His miracles, began to exercise His spiritual gifts and saw the glory of God in their midst."
